I can’t tell you how long I’ve been wanting to do this for. Brown Bodies events have finally landed! This is one of three in the pipeline.
NB: Our first event is a women’s only event.
Come and join us for an exclusive, cosy and intimate breakfast event to chat all things vibrators in a safe, supportive, free of judgement space where we will be focusing on the perspectives and experiences of brown women.
8th May, 9-11am. Second Home Spitalfields, London
I couldn’t think of anyone better to launch our first event with than Savannah. She’s super open and honest on her socials about her journey with sex, her body and her mental health. You might remember the running influencer with a 1k+ days running streak, from her Brown Bodies interview:
And then there’s LELO — the leading sexual wellness brand (that has long been one of my fave brands) — that has come onboard as our partner to make this event a reality.
So flipping exciting!
So…
If you've been wondering
where to start with vibrators or how to have better experiences,
how to use one alone or how to introduce one into fun times with a partner,
how to decide which ones are right for you,
or have any other questions…
This is the event for you!
Event Highlights
A beautifully curated breakfast by private Chef Saima of The Hampstead Kitchen.
Savannah and Anisah discuss their personal journeys.
Vibrators 101: An expert from LELO talks us through how vibrators work, options available and how to choose the right one for you.
Exploration Table: Get hands-on with different vibrators.
Leave with a small goody bag.
NB: Tickets are £5 — just a small token cost to avoid cancellations. Paid subscribers get first dibs — as a thank you for all your belief and encouragement — and then we’ll take the paywall down tomorrow morning.
Who are we?
Brown Bodies is a platform all about love and sex in the South Asian diaspora. It exists to demystify the world of pleasure (based on facts and real research, of course) and to tell all of our stories. Sex (whether we're getting any or not) not only affects our love lives, it plays an important role in our confidence and the way we carry ourselves in the world, our careers, our interactions with our communities, our relationships with ourselves, with our parents and our family, and our relationship with faith and spirituality. And we just don’t think we’re talking about it enough!
Savannah Sachdev — also known as confusedindiangirl on socials — is a London based lifestyle and fitness content creator famous for running every single day! She's completed amazing challenges such as The Speed Project (running over 550km from LA the Las Vegas in 50 hours), the LA and London marathon, and Ultra Marathon’s separately in Chamonix and the Dolomites. She's not only on a 1000+ day running streak, she’s also on her own journey with sex and is very open online about her relationship with her body and mental health…and is hilarious in the process!
A massive thank you to our partners LELO — a leading luxury sexual wellness brand.
And thank you to Saima Khan, founder of The Hampstead Kitchen.
And thank you to Second Home for hosting us.
Get your tickets now. I can’t wait to see you! :)
